Conflicts in PO

Workplace conflicts have been a major issue for ages. Which is mainly caused due to lack of understanding and management. This is also caused due to employees with different mindsets, attitudes, backgrounds, and work ethics. These conflicts should definitely be solved for the smooth running of the organization. Conflicts can be expressed in different ways insults, bullying, anger, and noncooperation.

these personality clashes can lead to mismanagement and miscommunication. these negative effects can ; lead to the downfall of the organization in no time.

Most of the time these conflicts do cause negative effects but at times it is also needed to come up with good ideas which is to a certain extent normal and healthy.

The disagreeing also at times brings about the best ideas to make a successful workplace. but taking them to the extent of revenge would not be acceptable.

Common workforce causes include,

Conflict priorities,

Conflict perspectives,

Conflict assumptions,

Conflict tolerance

And they include signs like burnout, complaints, and confusion.

Many issues like fights over resources, and different goals are the priorities of conflicts and perspectives differ with age, gender, ethnicity, religion, political view, etc. It can be assumed that these conflicts are due to misinterpreting each other's views based on each person's personal experience. So, it is vital to tolerate these conflicts but it is somewhat difficult with different ways of how employees manage their anger.

Employees handling this overload of work, confusion, and complaints inside the workplace differ from one another which thus leads to the root of a conflict in the organization.

There are different methods HR professionals can use to overcome these conflicts and have a calm and relaxed environment.
A patient listener can solve many problems. When a problem arises it is always important to listen to both parties equally this is if you're the mediator but if you are directly involved you rather slow down and focus on what steps can be taken to resolve the issue.
  • Communication is a brilliant way to solve any problem but only if the listener is patient enough to grasp what is discussed to resolve the issue. an uninterrupted conversation with no one to intervene would make it easier to sort out the matters.
  • Arrange a plan to resolve the conflict. planning a way to solve the issue step by step instead of directly pointing out anyone would be the correct way.
  •  Have counseling sessions. this way an employee who is having a level of depression could get some tips for anger management or medication to make sure he/she works with unity with others.
  • Genuinely care. this is a lack in many organizations. The attempt to genuinely listen and understand an employee's problem can definitely make an impact in resolving the problems and a mediator.
  • Reframing. Reframing the situation and making people think of the issue from a different perspective helps solve the conflicts.
  • Coach for healthy conflict. The HR professional can plan coaching for healthy conflict methods to facilitate resolutions.
