Human Resource Myths that affect Psychologically

 There are several common myths about Human resources and about the attitudes of HRM professionals that need to be addressed. Many people believe in the myths surrounding human resources. Most of them stem from misunderstandings, limited exposure to HR practices, or negative personal experiences.

It is important to note that while these myths exist, they are not accurate representations of the role and attitudes of HR professionals.

There are several common myths about Human Resources that need to be debunked.

  • HR is only for hiring and firing- HR does handle the recruitment and termination process but their role goes far beyond that.
  • HR is not strategic -people believe that HR is merely an administrative function and does not contribute to the overall strategic goals of an organization. However, HR plays a vital role in aligning HR policies and practices.
  • HR is always on the side of the management- This is a common misconception. they do have a responsibility to support the organization and at the same time a duty to ensure fair treatment to employees.
  • HR is all about paperwork- well yes they do handle the administrative part of work but in the meantime, they look into fostering a positive environment for the employees to work throughout the journey.
  • HR is unnecessary in small organizations- not the size of the business that counts or matters it's how crucial HR is for a company to help it grow in all aspects.in recruitment, compliance, and other critical aspects.

It is important to dispel these myths to recognize the true value and importance of HR in organizations.
And also while it is like that towards HR it is the same for HR professionals.

HR is always on the side of the management, 
HR is only concerned with policies and procedures, 
HR is unapproachable and unsympathetic,
HR is only concerned with policies and procedures,
HR is a barrier to employee requests,
HR is not interested in employee well-being.
However, these are all due to negative experiences that some employees have faced in companies that don't have proper HR management. 

It is important to recognize that HR professionals are not solely focused on one side or the other, but rather aim to strike a balance between employee needs and organizational goals. they are there to support both employees and the organization as a whole.
